09-11-2007 | Mair Education & Erskine assist Leicester Libraries Service to win £1.49 million lottery grant
Congratulations to Leicester City Council’s Libraries Service who have been awarded a £1.49 million Lottery grant to establish a brand new flagship library and community learning centre in the heart of the New Parks area!
Mair Education worked with regeneration consultants Erskine Corporation to consult with a wide range of local children and young people for Leicester Libraries Service about their vision for a new type of ‘community hub’ which will offer state-of-the-art library, ICT and multipurpose community facilities.
Head of Libraries, Patricia Flynn said “This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the regeneration of New Parks and we are committed to involving local people, not only in the design and construction of the building, but in the future development and management of local services”.
